One thing I always thought about in life; If a human was given their life story at an early age (lets say: 5-10yrs old), I bet 99.9% of kids would run away.....Life ain't perfect, you got to make what you can, from what you got....but don't rob others on the way. My Father and brother did that....but they ain't got friends now....

Thanks for the restack Karl. Definitely we have to go through life with honesty and integrity and aim to contribute powerfully rather than take from others which stems from ego and fear. It’s a very limited way of being for sure.

This post really spoke to me. I really struggled with acceptance before I started my journey of recovery. I have learned so much and these tips will help me stay on track. The post I am preparing to publish for my Wordpress blog this week has to do with accepting my family members as they are (in particular my daughters as they mature into adulthood).

Your message is very timely for me. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Karen. 🙏 So glad it resonated with you. I believe it’s something we need to remind ourselves of consistently. Looking forward to reading your upcoming piece on accepting family members. I have done a lot of work around this for the last few years and have come to a place now where I accept them for who they are.

Byron Katie is very inspiring.

And Eckhart is, too.

My favorite book of his is ONENESS WITH ALL LIFE.

He took all the parts I underlined in his book A NEW EARTH 🌎 and put those parts into ONENESS WITH ALL LIFE. ONENESS is a small and easy to read gem 💎.

I haven’t read that one! I also loved A New Earth and The Power of Now. He’s a brilliant teacher

"What we also have to understand when we’re in the midst of something difficult is that we have a great tendency to lose sight of the bigger picture."

Hege this is SO true, at least for me. I get so focused on the difficulty in my life that I can easily develop tunnel vision toward everything else. Thanks for a wonderful post and giving me much to think and reflect on as I start the day.

Thank you for your wonderful comment Mack! So glad this resonated with you. I certainly find it helps so much to zoom out and think of the bigger picture. Everything tends to work out in the best way which we can only often see in retrospect. A useful reminder in every moment!
