Absolute and permanent peace starts with inner peace and once we experience it, we do not let anyone meddle with it. Imagine if majority of population decides to maintain their inner peace, who on Earth can dare to fidget with the outer peace. Loved it as always, Hege.
I think most people aren’t anywhere near experiencing inner peace and sadly let the outside dictate too much of the inside rather than the other way around. Still more are waking up to it. It’s certainly a practice, for myself as well ✨
Great message that we’re all accountable for peace. I like“Peace is an inside job.” We’re told to be peaceful in a violent world without being taught how to do it. Willpower is not enough.
What has helped me work through my anger and rage and be more peaceful has been looking at my own violence, healing my wounds, practices like loving- kindness, and other means for purifying my heart from conditioning.
To talk about peace is, above all, to talk about empathy, about accepting who we are and letting that transform into acceptance of who others are. But speaking about peace cannot be just about talking about love and tranquility. Sometimes, to achieve peace, it’s necessary to be firm and clearly establish our boundaries. Peace is, above all, about sharing.
I completely agree Rolando. I believe we have to learn radical self acceptance and self love (I have another article about that) in order to become peace and that of course comes with healthy boundaries. We have to do the inner work to release those aspects of ourselves that are reactive and that are contributing to conflict ✨

Exactly! This is such an important message to get across. You got it Vineet ✨
Fortunately and genuinely, Hege. But the point remains that billions have to come to terms with it in an earnest and continuous manner.

Completely agree Ryan! We must all take responsibility for what we carry within us. Thanks for this thoughtful comment ✨
i am a firm believer that microaggressions are what lead to massive aggressions. we can't tolerate any amount of aggression, big or small.
I completely agree Elizabeth. Thanks for commenting ✨
