yeah I really really don't want to have to act like a man to be successful or treated respectfully. i want to be respected within my feminine power for feminine qualities. I don't think treating woman equally as men is saying that men and women are exactly the same. there's a lot of feminine qualities like empathy and listening that make women really effective leaders and strategists, for example.

really loved how you framed this and in total agreement. may we show our soft, nurturing, vulnerable, and fierce parts whoever you are. the rise of the feminine isn't to push down the masculine energies. it's about balancing what was out of balance.

Brilliantly written however - "Women are hardwired to bond emotionally to a man after sex in a way that men are not. It means less to them." I'm not overly sure about men being totally emotionally uninterested, I think the issue is more that men are so utterly disconnected from their emotions. Both the sexes are hardwired to bond, but to do that you need to be in touch with your emotions which most men aren't.

The world needs to wake up to the downsides of feminism. It causes women another set of issues insomuch as it didn't liberate most women, it just told them to stop being housewives and start being CEOs or something instead. Most women just want to do what they want to do.

I agree with your point there Regan. I didn’t mean for it to come across like men are not also emotionally interested but rather that it in general is less of an emotional investment for them which I believe to be true but like you say this may also be partly due to them not being as in touch with their feelings. Thanks for your input ✨

You didn't come across as anything bad at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the article. The more said about the current wave of feminism and its glaring downsides the better as far as I'm concerned. I'd make a terrible CEO, and the truth is I quite like doing my boyfriend's washing for him 🤣

I just think men get away with some terrible behaviour because they're supposedly less emotionally invested in sex when in my experience it always looks like the opposite, but with no idea how to go about it. It's complex and very much down to the individual however.

there is an interesting study that shows that the place for intimate relationships and sex is right next to each other in the brain of a woman, where as they are polar opposite areas of the brain for guys, meaning time and meaningful experience has to light them up together. Fascinating idea of hard wiring. I also agree that there is a disconnection with emotions- i see it as a partially from societal pressures to be the "tough one" and the "strong" one and not to cry as to be seen as "week" etc... It stinks.

Women need emotional connection to have sex and men get emotional connection from sex. I believe this is part of why men are famed for doing what they do, I think they are going after the same thing as women, but in the opposite way to a woman. Men can, and do, disconnect from meaningless sexual encounters. The key word is disconnect, but from what..? We all want to be loved regardless of our biological sex. 😊
