Hege: Wonderful "message"....expressing who you are is freedom in yourself. You have opened up too your readers; your reward is self admiration.

I admire that quality in anyone and everyone....Thanks for sharing....✅

I am already a part of this magnificent movement. I have experienced similar to what you experienced in the yore, Hege. My biggest challenge was to be authentic and expressive to self, but now I have started discovering, unraveling, exploring and unearthing myself which is bound to help me inmyriad significant ways. Thank you, Hege.

I can very much relate with this post. I recall a time in my life where I was not myself - I conformed to the group I was in instead of being myself. Thanks for sharing this vulnerable post. You are going on my favorites list!

Thanks Hege!

I'm thinking about what you wrote and I'm wondering if removing people from your surroundings who don't fit you isn't selfish? What does it mean that you remove these people? How do you do it?

And the second thing. It's natural that we shape our opinions based on other opinions. If we recognize that they resonate with us, we accept them as our own. These can be opinions of other people who are authorities for us. They can also be opinions read in books, or heard, for example, in some podcast. It doesn't matter. Is this wrong?

All the best! Regards

I don’t believe it’s selfish to distance oneself peacefully from people you no longer resonate with. In fact I believe the opposite. It would be selfish to keep spending time with people out of pity or loyalty when your heart no longer wants to be there. You deserve better and so do they. You can release people with love and gratitude. It doesn’t have to be a negative thing. More often than not this happens organically anyway as people grow apart.

Regarding other people’s opinions what I am referring to here is being influenced when you don’t have a strong sense of self. Then we often adopt other people’s opinions without healthy questioning rather than consciously finding our own truth. This is detrimental to our own personal development and autonomy. Of course it’s normal to be influenced to an extent but my point here is that regardless of whether it’s a friend or a podcast we should seek out alternative and conflicting sources of information in order to find what resonates with us rather than just swallow up the first thing we are being served by our environment. Those are my opinions. Thanks for your questions! ✨

Thank you so much Mike. Some things are better kept to oneself in order not to invite everyone’s energy, thoughts and opinions. ✨
